About the Role

We’re a warm, laid-back bakery in San Francisco known for our cozy vibes, fresh bakes, and especially our Vegan Lemon Pound Cake (locals swear by it). We believe baking should feel like home — inclusive, creative, and always full of heart. We’re looking for someone kind, curious, and ready to jump in as our next Pastry Chef. You don’t need years of experience — just a love for baking and a willingness to learn. We’ll train you on everything from our signature recipes to the way we work as a team.

What you'll do

  • Help us prep, bake, and plate a variety of pastries each day
  • • Learn how to make our fan favorites (yes, the pound cake!)
  • • Keep the kitchen clean, stocked, and stress-free
  • • Bring good energy to the team and guests alike

What we're looking for

  • Basic kitchen confidence (can follow a recipe, measure ingredients, use an oven)
  • • Attention to detail (especially when it comes to timing and presentation)
  • • Reliable and punctual — we bake early!
  • • Able to lift 30 lbs and be on your feet for most of your shift
  • • Team-first attitude — kindness and communication matter here
  • • Open mind and willingness to learn new techniques (vegan baking experience is a bonus, but not required)
  • • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to get one within 30 days of hire)

Nice to have

  • Experience with vegan or gluten-free baking
  • • A creative eye for decorating and plating pastries
